Travelling light

Summer holidays offcially started for me today. Tomorrow will be spent sorting what bits I need to take for me and the girls to see us through a week in sunny Scarborough...bearing in mind I will have to take my laptop, ipad, video camera, normal camera and all the leads and chargers! Can't take a holiday from Twitter / Blip / Google + / email and FB.

New case has been purchased...big enough to fit everything in I hope but small enough for me to lug on the train while wrestling the 2 littlest ones and their luggage!

In true librarian style I have a map of all the supermarkets and 'points of interest' That we can get to on foot or public transport...times like this I do miss a car (a bit)

I really can't wait...its going to be great and every minute will be special for me and my brood of little women.

The girls are so giddy.

There will be some non mum time though...my best friend is coming up for a couple of days so wine shall be sunk, frisbies shall be thrown and we shall sit and watch the sea like the two women in 'Beaches' and put the world to rights.

To facilitate this I shall be bringing tea lights for late nights on the beach and solar lights that will shine out back. My decking shall still light up while we're away...thats the blip!
