Lichen this plan

I set out with a plan for this shot. I'd noticed, in an idle plant-watering moment, that a marigold bloom, seen from the side, was not dissimilar in form to lichen. This shot was intended to demonstrate that. Not sure it quite hits the mark.

Mostly a day of looking after Katherine. The kids managed their morning lesson in French (and both apparently performed very well). While they were there, Mr B was at the delightful Leroy Merlin again, while I carried on with my low-tech wallpaper removal. The bank here have finally bowed to extreme pressure and decided to allow me my own bank card on our joint account, so I went in to pick that up. Of course I'm just swapping the annoyance of having to ask my husband for money for the annoyance of having to ask my husband for money because I can't remember my PIN number*.

Some more work at the MBH this afternoon, today with added floods of water between the foot of the stairs and the front door. Must call the roofers again...

*I know, I know. The 'N' in 'PIN' stands for number. But saying I can't remember my pin just makes me feel like a forgetful seamstress whose clients say 'ouch' a lot.
