Future banana cake........

This isn't my prettiest photo ever - but it does show what started me out on making birthday cakes for people at work. We provide fruit for sale at cost but in the summer the bananas sometimes get a bit past it. I hated consigning them to the compost heap so I started to make them into cake. We celebrate everyone's birthday, so that's about 60 birthdays a year and we do sometimes have non-birthday cakes. It's great to have a reason to make cakes - I would get huge if I ate all the cakes I wanted to make on my own. And they aren't all banana cake.
