One of the main drivers for enduring the inconvenience of packing my bike into the car to take it down to my parents was to be able to pop up to this particular spot to remind myself about the route up to it and back down and to attempt to film the descent in order to stick it on another website somewhere where people were talking about favourite descents of hills on bikes. Being Lincolnshire it's nothing particularly spectacular but it's a pleasantly viewsome (again, relatively so, for Lincolnshire) gentle descent which frequently marked the near-end of an afternoon or evening scootling around the woldier bit of the bit of the county immediately north of Horncastle after which I'd make the descent to Horncastle and then head for home.
