Piha rescue

"Swim between flags" was the message of the day down at Piha. The clubbies were out in the water racing about in their IRBs and catching waves on their wave skis but nobody was in the sea swimming.

Just out of the top of the frame was about 40 surfers sitting in the line-up on a glassy, flat ocean chasing the chance of catching a 1ft ankle-biter of a wave. It was hilarious watching them lunge forward all at once and riding into each other if they caught the wave.
