That's More Like It.
Unfortunately. Normal service resumed weather-wise, but it was nice while it lasted.
Makes some people all lethargic and sloth-like in the Delph Wynd Daily household after being used to waking with sunshine and a smile the past week or so. Let's say that's the reason someone almost slept in for their shift today. A shift that started at noon no less...
It seemed to affect others in the same way in the big carpet showroom we visited this afternoon too. It wasn't like they were busy (we were the only customers in the place that I could see) and normally they're on top of you as soon as you flip over the first sample. But it took some effort to actually attract someone's attention to help out, then we ended up with the store's stand-up (a sort of really unfunny and more miserable Jack Dee) whose attempts at humour were painfully more rapid-fire than his knowledge on the items we were looking to buy. I mean, after regurgitating the same info off the labels we'd just read and coming to the same conclusion we had five minutes before he then proceeded to show us some accessories that were from another range completely. When we had eventually got around to deciding we were going to buy he managed to input all the details wrong (blaming the computer and continually tutting at the thing), missed out a major part of the purchase, put the info in for a third time then realised the second lot of accessories he had shown us didn't come with this range either so we had to go look again. The fourth time everything went through and after only twenty minutes sitting uncomfortably watching him struggle with the computer they had our money and we were out of the door and back into the rain.
I now know why we've embraced online shopping so much. Experts? You can keep them, I'll use Google next time.
