Took the photograph after this
piece of heavy equipment
was idle for the day.
The digging teeth are so polished
from the work that they tend
to reflect the blue of the sky.
I was a heavy equipment operator
for about 32 years.
I just loved the job!
I operated almost every kind
of road construction machinery
at one time or another.
Ran one of these the last 7 years before
I retired from the City of Los Angeles.
More glad that I retired though,
that kind of work is tough
on the ol' body.
I would still rather stand
than sit! ;o))
