GO KINGY

I've tried hard for this shot of a Kingfisher coming into land. I'm reasonably happy - but would have liked it coming in at a more widespread wing angle ??
Never happy - well I suppose it does leave something more to do with the Kingfisher which is veryhigh on the list of the little birds that I really like !!

Happy with the work done from the hide today. Some may have noticed the shape of the branch as being a familiar haunt for me.

The techo bit is to have the focus pre-done on the branch and run the motor drive when a bird is on its way in ! At the speed they travel it would have to be an extremely lucky shot for a one off. I managed to shoot 5 of this one coming in and I was surprised at the distance betwen shots. 2 of them didnt even register - I must have started too early - so this one was the best of three.
