Tobacco Mississipius

Is chewing tobacco a native species in Mississippi? It seems like you can find it almost anywhere around here. In big trucks that haven't been washed in years. In the back pocket of almost anyone with blue jeans and boots, a lot of those around here.

You can see a lid in the photo hanging out at the bottom of a not so pristine drainage ditch. It might be just pretending to be dead so it can jump into the pocket of some unsuspecting passer by... You never know!
