Goodnight Helston!

Late night, sitting around on the verander, watched the sun go down drinking into the cool evening air. Much frivolity, amusing ourselves over the days banter and in particular the walk we had the day before....

...we had followed a path through National Trust land and it was a fabulous walk. We were trying to make our way to Loe Bar, a beach allegedly worth visiting where the dogs could run riot and have some fun time. 30 minutes into the walk, we checked with Jan (my brother's wife) how far we had to go, and she had replied "...ooooh....only about a mile."

About 4 miles later (we guessed), with no sign of the pathway bumping into a beach path anytime soon, and in fact feeling like we were walking further from the sea - not closer, we asked Jan, "...how much further Jan?"

She reckoned on about another mile or so....But then clarified her guesstimate with...."...but I never actually walked this way before myself!" !!!!

During the 24 hours following this walk, every answer to any question from anyone about anything was met with the answer..."ooooh, about a mile!"

It made us all laugh!
