Postcard from Matakana
Up and at em this morning. Coffee in the garden (coats firmly in place).
Then off out to Matakana for a spot of lunch and a wander. Beautiful shops; so expensive that I can only dream of being able to afford to buy anything in them. A wee drool over the gorgeous fountain pens. A lovely salad wrap with kalamata olives, hummus and feta cheese. Mmmmm.
A walk along the river to look at the beautiful falls. Very small falls actually. Very small and very gloomy, since the sun had by then disappeared. Oh well. The majority of these shots were taken at the little potting shed garden shoppe.
Happy to find at least some things growing in deepest darkest winter.
Home tomorrow. How time has flown.
Can't wait to be reunited with my two boys and to hear about all of their snowy adventures.
Can wait for the change in temperature. It's been wonderful to feel some warmth in the sun and to recharge the batteries.
Hasta la vista todos. :)
