Like I'm Living a Teenage Dream...

Open Mike night tonight seen the Debut performance tonight of the Woollen Fiends AKA Boy and K.

Pre-Show time, I sat on the grass at the front of the house, and listened to them blast out their toons! I yelled instructions at them thru the window, which they mostly ignored, and I told them they had to end the songs with a crescendo..

They left early to get a pint in, to steady the nerves.... We phoned 1½ hours later to see if they were nearly on.... nope.

We headed down about 10pm, and Boy was 2 sheets to the Wind... Tooli and I took a walk up the street until it was time.

And when we got back, there they were on Stage!! Ho Ho! Much hilarity. I betcha the pub were delighted that they had dragged all their mates with them to watch.... For a Tuesday night that place was fairly stomping.

This is them, practising a couple of weeks ago. The arrangement has changed slightly and they don't stop in the middle and laugh quite so often. They played 4 songs, and finished with a comedy song which I have been treated to often - the Divorce Song by Stephen Lynch. That really made everyone laugh!

It was a lovely feeling to watch the two pals singing the songs we've heard blasted out from various rooms in the house over the years, and see everyone else enjoying them as much as we do!
