A friend came over with her daughter. First we made worm compost tea and tried out the little air pump I'd bought from the pet shop, then we got ten years' worth of beach pottery finds out of their shoe-boxes and spread them all over the front step. Maybe I'll finally mosaic some of the wall this year.
