The Blackcountry Man

Small Blue....

This is our smallest resident butterfly with a wing span that can be a little as 16mm. The sexes are similar in appearance, although the male upper side is almost black with a dusting of blue scales, whereas the female is more dark brown in colour. This butterfly is one of our most widely-distributed butterflies, being found from northern Scotland to the south of England, in Wales and Ireland. However, these colonies are isolated and the butterfly is only found in small pockets outside of its strongholds in the south of England.
Hence that is why it is common around here.

Saw this one as I returned to the Caravan this evening, I followed it around for 15 minutes but it would not open it's wings to get a proper shot.

7 days to go, this is wonderful and no, it's not a Holiday, No not a Blip Birthday either, keep guessing.
