Jetty

in the former naval harbour at Borkum, where the moorings are generous for yachts. I love the texture of wood, iron, rope and other materials found on jetties: all have their function.

We have enjoyed a day here travelling to and from the town by narrow gauge railway and admiring the beach. Tomorrow we plan to leave for Terschelling, in the Netherlands.
