Kinross House (1686)

Another glorious day. We headed off to Fife and caught the boat to Castle Island in Loch Leven. There we had a picnic and watched the comings and goings of the wee boat.

When we returned to the Kinross mainland there was a large queue for the boat and the ticket desk had had to close due to demand for the trip.

Here is Kinross House viewed from the castle walls on the island where Mary Queen of Scots' was imprisoned. I've just read that Kinross House was sold last year and planning permission to convert it into a hotel has been sought.
