Had a look round the gallery and workshop of the artist Kurt Fundinger this morning with #1 daughter as chauffeuse. Not only is the studio packed with wonderful vibrant oil paintings, but Kurt frames his own and others' pictures using some seriously impressive heavy-duty equipment. This is not a games table in the foreground but a huge vacuum press. I now have serious machine envy.
All afternoon we had a spectacular thunderstorm, unfortunately starting just after hanging out two loads of washed bedding and towels... If I'd had my regular legs I would have rushed down to the point to stand under it and watch the lightning strike the rocks.
