Family
(back blip)
In this photo is the lovely R, Aunt R (scary eyes in this don't know why... Possessed by red wine I think!), B ( the new husband of M), M tucked away and Uncle C.
After our respective work days R and I traveled down to Esher in Surrey to meet up with the above family. Uncle C and Aunt R of the lovely R have been here from South Africa for the last 7 weeks to visit their youngest child and only son R who with his wife L became the very proud parents to P in April, she's now 3 months old. L & R have had a rather interesting introduction to parenthood with P suffering from acid re-flux and this has made life a little more challenging. Thankfully it seems to be settling now and L is starting to look better and looking less exhausted. We've all been a bit worried about L, but having seen her this weekend minds are more at rest. They also know where we are and that we are not too far if they want to visit for a weekend of rest and feeding.
As this is a back blip...
C and R left for South Africa on Sunday (24th) and it now leaves the new parents to get into some normality as its been go go go with parents since P was 2 weeks old. Its the old adage brilliant to see you but they were looking forward to having time to themselves and getting everything into a more definite routine which is understood by everyone. Likewise C & R were looking forward to getting back to South Africa too and their other 8 grandchildren, 2 dogs and C was looking forward to getting out sailing. Its been great to see them and hopefully the next time will be when we are on their home turf so that R can help C with the Morris Minor that he has been rebuilding for the last 20 odd years... its nearing completion and R has always said he would like to be there when C turns the key to start it up for the very first time. I'm sure a glass will be raised when the time arrives of completion and a very special thought for J who initially the car was supposed to be for.
The lovely R is a happy man as with the departure of C & R comes the return of his car which he lent them. He gets it back nearly a new car as during its time with them, it had a new radiator, water pump, head gasket and several other bits! Expensive time, but according to R... running like a dream!
