Happy Birthday Blues

Wonderful start to the day - walked in to the hotel breakfast room to be serenaded with happy birthday by all the remaining wedding guests from the night before. It's very uplifting - can I please be sung to every morning when I wake from my slumber? It really takes the edge off that 'it's too early' feeling. My joy soon turned to sulking though, as we spent most of the day stuck in traffic on the m6. This blip is my grumpy 'It's-my-party-and-I'll-cry-if-I-want-to' shot of the grass verge on the motorway. All was redeemed by my AMAZING husband who had planned a surprise meal out with a few friends and family. Vino, good food and chatting with chums was a perfect tonic to fix the motorway blues.
