such a friend
One thing that is special about the friends I have is this: no matter how long of a stretch of time has passed since we last hung out, we reunite seamlessly and pick up where we last left off! Never is it awkward because there is no time to waste wondering why a certain moment in time elapsed since the last time we were together--unless we were in a joking, bickering mood! It was nice tonight to walk in to Matt's apartment and feel comfortable that, within minutes, I could pick up his guitar and play but continue still to have perfectly attentive conversation with him. We had a good time laughing and poking fun at each other all night when we went out to eat and when we were at his apartment. He is such a friend who never wavers and will be there whenever and wherever you need him. He will always be his jovial and entertaining self, full of humorous and meaningful stories straight from his heart to mine. Brittanie and I asked him if he would be willing to draw chalk art on easels we are going to have at our wedding (fitting with the cafe theme) and he was absolutely willing and excited to be a part of it! He kept saying, "If you guys need any help with anything, I will help you out as much as possible. It's what I'm here for!" How many people in life are like that!? Yet I am blessed to be surrounded by those people genuinely love and care for me! I am happy he is one of my groomsmen! It makes my wedding day even more special to have such a great friend friend and person standing alongside of me!
