Jersey tiger
There were two of these Jersey tigers Euplagia quadripunctaria fluttering around in the sun today, showing their amazing scarlet hindwings.
This day-flying moth is becoming increasingly common in the south, but even so I've only seen them in the UK a couple of times before today.
