Snow
The wind blew and the snowflakes swirled, soft and powdery, in the quiet of the morning. I took a stroll down our road, someone had been out in a vehicle leaving tyre tracks - the only tracks apart from my own. The snow crunching underfoot, branches swaying from the laiden snow, the odd bird would flit by otherwise there was not a soul in sight - all was quiet down my street.
Later in the morning Daughter E and I walked round to my mum's, she had just made delicious warm scones! We all decided to go for a walk and it seemed everyone was out, families making snowmen, people walking dogs and others just like ourselves, wanting to enjoy and savour this beautiful time, it doesn't come our way very often.
The snow has been quite a distraction today, its been exciting and breathtaking - I've enjoyed every minute of it! But - I should've been packing as we head away down south tomorrow, how far we will get remains to be seen!
Daughter E and her friend are going to the Cadbury Chocolate Festival - sounds divine!! I hope to blip while I'm away as I now have a stick so should have internet access :)
I'd better go and pack - I'll try to come back later, its still snowing as I type :))
