Et Aetatis

Elize's excitement is contagious.

For lunch I had the most amazing sushi from the company cafeteria. It was spicy eel with thinly sliced avocado and caviar on top. I tried wasabi too! (I've decided wasabi spiciness is unpleasant. It's like your mouth and then your sinuses and then your brain get set on fire.) But given that three of my entries this past week have included pictures of various Asian foods, I decided against another picture of sushi.

Instead, I made an exception of including pictures of specific people and chose one of Elize at the intern awards ceremony in the evening. (Sorry about the bad quality; it was taken with a camera phone.) The first hour was a networking reception with h'or doeuvres, and Elize was so excited when she discovered they were also carving a ham. If I wasn't a vegetarian, that ham would have looked infinitely more appetizing after Elize bounced up to me with her plate of it.

When she saw how much more ham others had received, she also indignantly explained to us that despite her stature, she can eat with the best of them, and doesn't understand why people feel like she has the appetite of a small child. Sooo cute.
