Howrah Bridge

Day 7

Photography is strictly prohibited on and around this bridge with policemen ready to nab and fine whoever broke the law. But I hate authority and had to bypass them by hook or crook. It's time to switch to plan 'b' as we're dragged down by the women and children tagging along and had to return early for another visit to the science city. Missed a potential twilight with wonderful red clouds and sky to be taken with the bridge and river on plan 'a'. That's why I always love working alone on high risk zones.

P.S. Please don't wonder about plan 'b'. It's quite simple but needs a lot of practice. It's to shoot from the abdomen or waist without looking into the viewfinder or liveview by hanging the camera from the neck with the camera strap, and your eyes are either shut or looking sideways or upwards - your body on the move eiter walking or stepping sideways but pressing the shutter with perfect body synchronization to avoid camera shake. To simplify, it's to shoot the image with your heart and inner eye only with prior visualization. How I love those quite and discreet rangefinders of yorn!
