Radishes and Crab apples

There is nothing more delicious than a fresh crisp radish straight from the garden. The crab apples are changing colour - a sign that summer is on its way. I saw my first blue sloe (only one!) in the hedge the other day and the young swallows are building up their muscles for their long flight to Southern Africa.
