New arrival

Yep still doing other stuff too. We went to the Waikato and picked up 4 hens and 1 rooster. Sex guaranteed. 12 week old Australorps. 3 black ones, as here and 2 blues. The adults are a gorgeous rich black with a green sheen. Big birds hopefully good layers and poor flyers. Today was their first day and seem to be settling in well. A bit overawed by the 4 ducks, we need to feed them separately . There is no way to compete with a duck , those guys are a cross between a vacuum cleaner and a machine gun.
