do you realize??

these are pheasant feathers from a hanging decoration my neighbor made for us from the feathers my dad gave to her. blue is really rare to see in nature and i think it's cool to see in coats and feathers.

we had venison for dinner tonight and my mom had a salad instead. i think she doesn't like how my dad and i call venison bambi. crude, yes, but still funny. ;)

so i've been thinking about this--what's the difference between eating deer, which my mom has never tried, and eating cow? i think it's the name game here. 'i think i'll have a burger tonight' is the same as 'i think i'll eat some cow tonight' which she refuses to recognize. has she never noticed this before??
