Symphony in Green
On the Island which is my all time favourite spot for my photography. ( I know that is probably a rather obvious statement.) Nonetheless... it was delightful to be here today. I do love this spot. I spent some time reading about the influence that Turner and Whistler had on Claude Monet. And headed to my pond to take some images like Whistler's Nocturne paintings. I think I accomplished that but in the end picked this little shot. Quiet, contemplative, a mix of reflective and real, echoing some of what I read the critics claimed of Whistler's work. He painted many images of Chelsea, Creemore, other places along the Thames, many from the Battersea Bridge, and often included a more solid image to anchor the painting that might otherwise float away on "impressions." Fun to try my own mix of this.
I backblipped a couple of days as well.
