Angel

Here is the next in my current Antony Gormley series. This one is a little larger than the sculptures located in Edinburgh.

The Angel of the North is situated in Gateshead almost on the Co. Durham border. A steel sculpture standing 20 metres (66 ft) tall, with wings measuring 54 metres. The wings are angled 3.5º forward, which is supposed to create "a sense of embrace".

Is was such a lovely evening, but a bit bright. Unfortunately didn't have time to wait for what turned into a gorgeous sunset. So I present this HDR effort.
Got a few close-ups too but settled on this one.
