Case of Mistaken Identity/Is This Straw Taken

I've been playing around with my husband's old EOS Rebel I used to be intimidated by. He planned to take photography classes when he bought it, but life got in the way. The camera never ended up being used much. My little PowerShot actually has better control and detail (higher pixels). I'd love to get a younger hybrid of the EOS though, someday.

Found this Hummingbird Moth drinking in what's left of my Bee Balm. I saw one there last week, but I wasn't fast enough to get a shot before it took off. When I went to look up the species, I found it was known to have the most cases of mistaken identity due to the fact it appears to be part bumble bee and part hummingbird. Actually, to the best of my I.D. ing abilities, this guy (or gal) is a Snowberry Clearwing Hummingbird Moth. Notice the leaf through his tiny powerhouse wing?

When I cropped out the near-dead flowers around it, I noticed his fuzzy lil green body and the other bug drinking on the "straw" next to it. Guess "every buggy" needs to do what they can to stay hydrated in this heat. I was sweating like mad in the few minutes I was out to get this photo, so it's the best I could manage in this 103 degree sweltering day.
