Nostell Priory

We visited the National Trust's Nostell Priory today, the home of the Winn family since 1733.

Must see items are:~

the 18th century doll's house;

the John Harrison clock with wooden workings;

and, the 'Procession to Calvary' painting by Pieter Bruegel the Younger.

Todays blip shows the Stable refurbishment which is well behind schedule due to the building contractor going into liquidation just before Christmas 2010. In recent weeks a new building contractor has restaretd the works programme and it should be finished before Spring 2012.
