Not moaning -

but a Myrtle non-the-less.

Chris wanted a myrtle to grow into a standard some years ago and we looked for one literally all around the country. We bought one in Pembrokeshire in St David's.
The Garden Centre owner was doubtful of him even keeping it over the winter never mind successfully taking cuttings and growing a standard.

Well here it is flowering at window ledge height outside the kitchen.

I confess I was less than excited about these but the flower is very pretty.

We have two small ones on the kitchen doorstep too!

(Apparently they are very popular in royal bridal bouquets)
