Jebel Hafeet

This is me feeling rather pleased with myself. The photo is taken at the top of Jebel Hafeet, over 4,000ft high, by my son using my camera. I presume this is strictly against the rules as I didn't press the shutter, but I was a little too busy for taking pics.

I was taking part in a charity run in aid of a local rugby player who is on a life support machine. We started at a car park at the bottom and then ran over 13km up the long winding road to the summit. The gradient was unrelenting - not a single flat part - and steep.

We then turned around and ran back to the cars, which was almost as tough as the run up. The temperature was around 40 degrees when I finished and I wasn't looking quite as pleased. Early night tonight I think.
