My macro challenge

A quiet day today , weather not much to write about , no decent light for landscape shots so played around with the flowers John bought on Monday. Liked the way the natural light from outside was shining through the flower head.
Set up the camera with macro lens and tripod , took ages to get the position just where I wanted it. The background is a dark blue sheet spread on the floor beneath the flower which i shot at an angle from above the flower head. Really enjoyed this challenge which I set myself and getting to grips with the 60mm lens which i really hated at first It 's not sharp hand held..
Early upload as we're headed off to Balfron - the " no Midgie" place - sheer heaven - back late tonight so will catch up if I've time.

23:06 , just back from Al4exandris, didn't even reach Balfron. There was a serious accident on the Loch lomond road between Arden and balloch . We were sent via helensburgh. Took 3 hours to get from Arden to Alexandria .Our daughter phoned and arranged to meet us there to pick up our grandson , saved us an another hour or we would have got home after midnight,
I hope the poor souls in the accident are are going to be alright.
