This year marks the 600th Anniversary of the Battle of Harlaw, one of the bloodiest battles fought on Scottish soil. This inter-clan battle was so bloody in fact it was known as 'Reid Harlaw'.

The men of Aberdeen & Shire defended the city against the Highlander marauders and, whilst there was no decisive winner, it was declared a strategic win for the Earl of Mar who saved Aberdeen.

Andy's been a busy boy helping to paint figures for a scale model recreation of the battle which will be on display in the Aberdeen Art Gallery.

It's not everyday your handiwork goes on display in the Art Gallery!
