Cambridge Town Bumps pre race

Our crew pre race. 2 bumps so far 2 more to go (fingers crossed)
Bumps is a fantastic race which goes back over 140 years Cambridge. Essentially you line up along the bank and when the canon goes you have to race and 'bump' the boat in front. You can physically bump, which leads to quite a wet outing for crews or damaged boats.
If you bump you get given a willow branch from trees on the tow path which you stuff down your shirt and proudly row back and wear all evening...
4 nights of this followed by beer and in our case Champagne :-) and a great club BBQ on Friday night...
