Holyrood from above
Yoda would have said:
"A better blip, we needed to do
...but a much better day, it wasn't. Hmmmmmmmmmmm"
After work (late again), I went out in the direction of St. Margaret's loch and pointed my camera at the ducks and swans. They wanted treats and I didn't have any. So they wouldn't pose for me long enough in the failing light.
So I started to trek uphill towards Arthur's Seat. About a third of the way up, I stopped at the ruins of St. Anthony's Chapel. Now I've seen some great setting Sun lit photos of the structure, but tonight wasn't going to produce one of those.
So I pointed my camera at Holyrood Palace, the Scottish Parliament and the city beyond. While not spectacular, I was not too displeased with the results. (See larger version)
As I was packing up I heard voices and turned around to see that I was not alone on the rocky outcrop. Seeing that they were trying to get a group photo, I offered to help. And so I made three new friends on the top of a hill, Amanda, Jeppe and Jette (a.k.a. Charlie) Charlie, so called because of her Chaplin tattoo, is an English and Moral Studies teacher from Belgium. Amanda and Jeppe are astrophysics students from Denmark. We chatted about their visit and their careers, ...oh and photography too.
...perhaps, we will have one or more new blippers out of the three :))
And so... in the end ... having made 3 new friends ...a much better day it was :)) (still speaking Yodish) Can I get stars for that?
