Powerwashed

As you may know, my son Ryan is painting the house. It's a big old farmhouse built in 1760, and a big project for one guy.

He started by taking down all the shutters, then he borrowed a friend's powerwashing machine. It took three days, but he's about done with that step now.

I adore the patchy look of this image.

But what a good thing it's not going to look this way for very long...!

PS- Yes, it is 110 degrees F in my driveway right now!!!
