Portrait......and Popcorn.

I received a phone call today...it was a friend who had won 10 tickets to the Newcastle premiere of the film Horrible Bosses, asking if I would like to go.

Free ticket to the cinema and the potential of mingling with 'north east celebrities'....why not i thought. Be there at 6.15 cos it starts at 6.30. No problem.

So we arrive at 6.15 and there isn't a 'celebrity' in sight. In fact there isn't another soul in sight. We buy popcorn. Drinks. Sweets. Check the watches - 6.30. Find someone who can tell us what the devil is going on. "You should have gone through ages ago - screen 5." Go into the door marked Screen 5. A full cinema, not a spare seat in sight, or any 'celebrities' for that matter!! Speak to lady again. Points to small print. 'Doors open 6.00pm, limited seating, first come first serve.'

Off to pub. Pint.....and popcorn!
