Let's Watch the Flowers Grow....

I tried to do a good thing.

Last year, a random sunflower appeared in the Drive. 3/4 of the way down. We were very careful to park the car far enough over not to hit it with the door, but one day, just as it was about to burst, we forgot, opened the door and knocked the head off.

Another one came up this year. It's farther down, and I thought it might be safe, but I wasn't 100% sure, so today, very carefully and with a little fork, I weeded it out of it's space, and moved it into it's own des res. I was quite pleased with my work. It was tall, and happy, and the stalk felt firm.

As Si and I sat later, in the afternoon sunshine, after a couple of hours, cleaning and gardening, I glanced over.

Oaft. Not good. I gave it some more water, and glared at it.

Si went over lifted it's head and said "Come on little sunflower".

I have no doubt that tomorrow, because if his intervention, it will be upright once more.
