not quite sure what this is....

was experimenting with macro today (standard lens held on back to front, natural light, no tripod) found a dead daddy long legs which provided some good shots, and then i saw this, a spriralled feather like thing growing on a plant in my flat, there was no other bit like it, just that one. the pink in the background is a flower from the plant. really love how it came out but would love to know what it is. any ideas?
