More roadworks?!

Think we must be in 'using up budget' times - everywhere I go, there is some roadwork activity at the moment. They've even mended the huge crater of a pothole in the car park at work.

Worked late tonight (not deliberately, it just happened!) so I ended up leaving at gone 7.30pm - the benefit of doing that is normally a fairly quick journey home although I still have to keep my wits about me coming out of Birmingham - idiot drivers and kamikaze pedestrians are still around whatever time of night it is.

Not thrilled to find these roadworks when I got to the dual carriageway where usually it's the first chance you get to get above 3rd gear - not only resurfacing work and a road closure further up, but a 10 mph speed limit which the car at the front of the (huge) convoy decided to stick rigidly to! Didn't really delay me that much, just a bit annoying.

Got home in time to watch Sherlock again though and had already decided to work from home tomorrow - I've got a networking event to go to in the evening but it's only about 25/30 miles from home so not too long a drive. Can't wait for a lie in - I've already missed the chance of having an early night so it's just as well ;o)
