Despite the increasingly autumnal pleasingly less unpleasantly warm air this morning the tourist levels are still increasing and appropriate steps to welcome them continue to be taken by the civic authorities, such as removing extremely large thistles from Princes Street Gardens and randomly splashing diesel all over various roundabouts. To counteract this, police cars have started sneaking through inappropriately small gaps to the right of bicycles passing under bridges. All is balanced.
