Waiting for the Tooth Fairy
I was woken up at 5:05 this morning by my daughter, who greeted me with a wide grin. I was a bit miffed to say the least (especially as my alarm was due to go off at 5:30) but when I asked what was wrong she quickly pointed out that she had wriggled one of her teeth out.
In an instant I realised that the smile was directly related to the fact that she could see the £££s in front of her eyes and a visit from the Tooth Fairy, who will only leave £1 by the way (and frankly that is nothing short of extortion).
She was sent back to bed immediately with the assurance that it was a bit too late for TTF to visit.
Tonight the tooth has been placed into the official tooth pot and we await the visitation, which will be a welcome consolation for the fact that she fell over tonight badly cutting her elbow and knee. No doubt a bit too tired to be running around. How did that happen?
