Green Bottle Fly and its shadow
I hate flies. Make that HATE flies. Always have. They are annoying, dirty, wretched, and good for nothing but toad food. That said, some are rather interesting looking like this common green bottle fly in our garden.
Home sick today. Bit of a bug from the basement flooding cleanup perhaps, says the doctor. Might be something else. Likely a bit of heat exhaustion and dehydration as well so he recommends rest, inactivity, and lots of water so I did not venture far for my blip.
Here in the Toronto area it is 34°C/93°F, feels like 41°C/106°F). Tomorrow is expected to be the hottest day on record for this date in our area: 38°C/100°F, feels like 48°C/118°F with the humidex factored in. SCORCHING HOT. We'll be hotter than Las Vegas, Phoenix, Dallas and other notoriously hot US cities!
