Spirit level?

Mine's not!

After much pleading with our wonderful building team they have agreed that we can go back into the house in another three weeks. Whilst I do have access to my kitchen - all my pots and pans and crockery and knives and cutlery and glasses etc are in storage plus it is a building site. We really do know that this building team is brilliant - they're here from 7.30am until 6.45pm. They work their socks off and they are perfectionists. But perfection won't be rushed.

Another lovely friend - Diane - came down to walk in the country and belatedly toast her birthday and then prematurely toast mine. We walked to and from the pub - taking the scenic route on account of my complete lack of any sense of direction and memory. We might just about have walked off those two (large) glasses of wine... but not the goats cheese and red onion marmalade tart followed by profiteroles.

Some good weather would help!
