Who Watches the Watchers?

Warning: I have cone back to the top of this blip to inform any readers that I inadvertently ended up ranting. If that's not your thing, then stop now and just look at the 'pretty' picture. Apologies.

The world is messed up. Parliamentary committees asking toothless questions of seasoned hacks is never a likely place to gain revelations. But we obsess over it.

Even though we all knew malpractice was happening (didn't we?) across many news agencies it took a heart-tugging story to rile the masses. As deplorable as much that happened is, we blindly accepted it before it affected the family of a murdered girl.

And now the pantomime is beyond all expectations and real news is buried beneath it - increasing global monetary crisis and looming humanitarian catastrophes in Africa are demoted to also-ran stories! Let the investigations continue. Make the perpetrators pay the price. But gain some perspective!
