Day Three: Away From it All?
Backblip:
The first full day of holiday was one of contrast. We headed off for the day to Eurodisney to join the crowds in the wonderful weather. We have been quite a few times before so didn't feel the urge to race around joining every queue for all the big rides so it was quite laid back and relaxing. We did manage to visit pretty every shop in the whole of Eurodisney...a feat we were to repeat on subsequent days! The kids applied themselves with due diligence to buying up every conceivable bargain item to fill up any remaining 'gaps' in the car's well packed interior...
The evening was spent getting down to some serious games of cards and trivial pursuit...a theme that was to be repeated pretty much every evening on holiday and a very enjoyable one. Now that all the kids are a bit older the card games can be a bit more adult...Texas Hold Em poker accompanied by betting chips. My daughter has started to develop a real ability to bluff her way effectively in the Poker games...aided by the fact that she never looked at her cards before betting!
Finished off by a short walk outside the Gite across the fields in the setting sun. Pretty much in the middle of nowhere...just how I like it.
