Greenwich Hospital from the North Bank

After yesterday's cancellation it felt a bit like Groundhog Day this morning as I headed back to London. This time the meeting did take place and as I still had a little time left I decided to walk around the Thames waterfront on the Mudchute side (north bank) with its view across to Greenwich - the inspiration for Canaletto's painting "Greenwich Hospital from the North Bank of the Thames" in the mid 18th century.

This isnt quite the same view as Canaletto was directly opposite the Queen's House and Royal Observatory but I wanted to get some foreground interest so went down to the water's edge at Johnson's Draw Dock a public slipway where the Greenwich watermen used to ferry people across the river.
