Hummingbird Hawk-moth tackles a phlox plant
Macroglossum stellatarum, the Hummingbird Hawk-moth, is a day flying nectar eating moth, here seen feasting on a phlox flowerhead. It's non too sharp but I was pleased to get an image of any kind given the speed at which its wings beat and that way that it was darting from one flower to the next.
